Job Title: Medical Device Manufacturing Technician/Assembler

Job Description

Join our dynamic team in the manufacturing of medical devices, with a focus on catheter assembly under a microscope. This role requires adherence to high standards and precise operating procedures to ensure the integrity and quality of our products.

Responsibilities

  • Follow and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures, Line Clearance, Work Instructions, assembly methods, and product handling methods.

  • Comply with Good Documentation Practices, current Good Manufacturing Practices, and Safety requirements.

  • Successfully complete training on production tasks, including understanding travelers/routers and identifying materials.

  • Use a microscope and production/inspection tools for product builds.

  • Operate tools and equipment, complete required documentation, and perform equipment set-up and operation.

  • Conduct in-process inspections to maintain product integrity and quality.

  • Collaborate with Engineers and Supervisors to ensure product quality and develop process documentation.

  • Perform inventory counts and other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of regulated manufacturing experience.

  • Hands-on experience in a manufacturing/production environment or prototyping.

  • Experience with catheter product manufacturing is a plus.

  • Familiarity with safety equipment for lab work.

  • Prior experience with microscope and medical assembly.

  • Experience working in a cleanroom environment.

  • Ability to perform in-process inspections to ensure quality of in-process medical devices.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in using EFD dispensers and UV curing systems.

  • Experience working with adhesives, especially different types of Loctite.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Experience with line clearance and SOPs.

Work Environment

This role involves working in both 1st and 2nd shift environments. You will be working in a cleanroom setting, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
