Little Steps Learning Center is seeking hardworking, fun, and flexible individuals who love working with children to join our passionate teaching team. We are a private, family-owned business offering childcare to local families with children ages 6 weeks through 6 years. *A typical day looks like:*

* Hours from 12:00-6:00 PM or 3:00-6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a .5-hour paid break daily. Some flexibility with hours if needed!
* Assisting the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing activities that meet the children's physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs.
* Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate program in accordance with all relevant childcare policies, procedures, and regulations.
* Establish positive relationships and communicate effectively with children, staff, administration, parents, and members of the community.
* Conduct light cleaning duties such as gathering trash, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors, sanitizing toys and table tops, and other general duties.

*Qualifications:*

* High School Diploma/GED required. Degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred.
* Experience with children or in childcare preferred.
* Must be able to lift, hold, or carry up to 35 pounds and routinely move furniture and equipment.
* Infant and Child CPR/First Aid certificate preferred.
* Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills required.
* Ability to be flexible with classroom assignment and work hours.
* A friendly, outgoing, positive personality is a MUST!

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
