Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Control Chemical in Texas City, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Security Officer in an access control role at a major chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor entry points, manage badge access, and conduct regular patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Your presence and attention to detail will help maintain a secure environment while providing exceptional customer service to all personnel and visitors. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $15.97 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon09:00 PM - 05:00 AM Thur09:00 PM - 05:00 AM Fri09:00 PM - 05:00 AM Sat09:00 PM - 05:00 AM Sun09:00 PM - 05:00 AM What You’ll Do Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed. Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors and vehicles in accordance with site protocols. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures for chemical and petrochemical environments. Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. Maintain detailed logs and reports of all access control activities and incidents as required by site policy. Communicate and coordinate with Allied Universal management, client representatives and emergency responders as necessary. Remain alert to potential hazards unique to chemical and petrochemical locations and report any observations promptly. What We’re Looking For Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience. Must have prior supervisory experience. Must possess a valid TSA issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC). Must be at least 21 years of. Access control and/or badge experience is. Be at least 18 years of for unarmed roles; 21+ years of for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
