Job Description Job Description Robert Half is partnering with a public accounting firm seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join their team. This role will focus primarily on preparing and reviewing individual and partnership tax returns, offering expert guidance and personalized service to our clients. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, review, and file federal and state individual (Form 1040) and partnership (Form 1065) tax returns in compliance with all current tax laws and regulations. Conduct tax research and remain current on individual and partnership tax issues, legislation, and planning opportunities. Advise clients on tax strategies, deductions, and planning tailored to their unique financial situations. Communicate effectively with clients regarding tax questions, documentation needs, and planning strategies. Work collaboratively with staff accountants and junior tax professionals, providing feedback and mentorship. Assist with IRS and state tax notices or audits related to individual and partnership returns. Identify opportunities for process improvements within the tax workflow and contribute to quality control efforts. Maintain strict confidentiality of all client and firm information. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline. CPA designation or active pursuit preferred. 5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on individual and partnership taxation. Strong understanding of current federal and state tax codes and regulations affecting individuals and partnerships. Proficient with tax preparation and research software (e.g., ProSystem, GoSystem, CCH, or equivalent). Superior analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage multiple client engagements concurrently.
