Immigration Legal Assistant - Cincinnati, OH
Aspen Careers is partnering with a well respected Cincinnati law firm to find a skilled Legal Assistant for its Immigration Practice Group . This role offers the opportunity to work alongside a collaborative team of professionals dedicated to helping clients through important immigration processes. Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative and case support to attorneys and paralegals in immigration matters.
Draft, proofread, and prepare legal documents, petitions, and applications.
Communicate with clients to collect required information and documents.
Track case progress, deadlines, and maintain organized case records, electronically.
Review and respond to correspondence from USCIS, DOL, and DOS.
Conduct basic research and assist with case preparation.
Coordinate with translators, evaluators, and other service providers.
Process client billing, expenses, and time entries.
What We're Looking For:
2+ years of legal experience assisting attorneys immigration law.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent proofreading skills
Ability to multi-task, and timely respond to deadlines as well as balance workload
Strong typing and organization skills and be detail-oriented
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Tracker and iManage or equivalent.
